RETURN POLICY
We are committed to providing high quality wines and your total satisfaction is our goal. We use the best delivery companies. All of our wines are stored in a controlled temperature environment and are in excellent condition when leaving our distribution center.
If you declined or were unable to receive your order
We will make a second delivery attempt if you were unable to receive your order. We will assume the cost for delivery so we will ask you to be alert about the scheduled delivery day because we cannot take further delivery attempts. Orders that are shipped and refused by the customer or returned by the shipping company as “unable to deliver” will be credited at the cost of any and all shipping charges minus the product.
Returns
According to the applicable rules if you are contracting as a consumer, the customer has the legally enshrined right to terminate the contract, without having to give the reason, within 14 days after receiving the goods.
In the case of several goods ordered by the consumer in a single order and delivered separately, the free resolution period will expire after 14 days from the day when the customer (or a third party – other than the carrier – indicated by you) acquires physical possession of the last good.
In order to exercise your right of free resolution, you must communicate to Vaz de Carvalho, Unipessoal Lda, Quinta do Licôr – Aldeia de Concieiro 5030-556 – Santa Marta de Penaguião, Tel .: +351961576339 E-mail: vsantos @ rvcwines .com, your decision to terminate this contract by means of an unambiguous statement (for example, letter sent by post, or email) and include the details of the products ordered and their delivery (customer name and address, date of purchase and delivery, product name and year, and cause for concern).
The customer can use the model resolution form, as shown in the Annex, but this is not mandatory.
For the free resolution period to be respected, it is enough that your communication regarding the exercise of the right of free resolution is sent before the end of the resolution period.
If you exercise your right of withdrawal after the goods have been delivered to you, you should contact Vaz de Carvalho, Unipessoal Lda, via email vsantos@rvcwines.com to organize the collection by our authorized distributor, the customer having to bear the direct costs of returning the goods.
If you do not intend to return the products through our authorized distributor, the customer will be responsible for the return costs. Please note that if you decide to return the items to us for collection we will be allowed to charge you for the expenses we may incur.
To be eligible for return, your bottles must not be open and must be in the same condition found at the time of receipt. If the bottles are sent in special boxes, they must also be sent.
We recommend that you place the items in the original outer packaging. If you no longer have it or if it is damaged, you can use a different packaging. It should also include all instructions, labels, documents and product packaging. However, we are not responsible for any damage during transport.
Vaz de Carvalho, Unipessoal Lda reserves the right not to accept articles that do not comply with these conditions.
If the order has arrived in poor condition, please contact us at vsantos@rvcwines.com within 48 hours of receiving your package (s), attaching photos to the contract termination statement, so that we can initiate a claim with the transport company. You should always include a front photo and a back photo of the article, so that the bottle seal is legible. Please keep the original packaging (s) and their contents exactly as you found them, if possible. In this case, Vaz de Carvalho, Unipessoal Lda will schedule the collection and inform the customer of the day so that he can prepare the order to be sent, without any cost of return.
In the unlikely event that there is a problem with the product itself, it will undergo quality tests upon arrival at our facilities, the results of which will be communicated to the customer. If it is confirmed that the product was not in ideal condition, Vaz de Carvalho, Unipessoal Lda will reimburse the customer for the collection amount and send again the item (s) corresponding to the initial shipment, without any cost to the customer. Otherwise, the customer will not be entitled to any refund and will have to place a new order if he wishes.
Refund
The refund will be made immediately, depending on your processing time in the country in question and the payment method used, no later than 14 days from the date we are informed of your decision to terminate this contract.
We may, however, withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods, or until you provide proof that the goods have been shipped, whichever comes first.
We make these refunds using the same payment method you used for the initial transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise by you; in any case, it does not incur any costs as a result of such reimbursement.

Note: If an item on sale is returned, the refund will be made according to the amount paid by the customer at the time of purchase, regardless of the end date of the promotion or campaign in question.
The consumer can resort to one of the Alternative Dispute Resolution entities whose name, contacts and address of the electronic sites on the Internet appear on the list of entities deposited with the Consumer Department. For more information, consult the Consumer Portal: www.consumidor.pt.
